Margie Wake Obituary

Margie L Wake, age 76 passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at her home in  Idabel, OK. She was born on September 25, 1942 in the Redland Community, OK, the daughter of Gillis and Mary F Townsend Daniels. Margie was a 1960 graduate of Idabel Gray High School. She married Virgil Wake in Midwest City, OK on January 5, 1966. They made their home in Oklahoma City from 1966 to 1978 moving back to Idabel in 1978.
    Margie worked  over 40 years as a hairdresser in Idabel. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed shopping. Margie was a longtime member of the Idabel First United Methodist Church and was a lifetime resident of the area.
    Margie was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. Her greatest joy came from being a grandmother to her beloved granddaughter, Emily.   
    She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Martha Leonard; and a niece, Tammi Farley.
    Margie is survived by her husband Virgil Wake of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Denise Wake of Norman, OK; her granddaughter, Emily Wake of Norman, OK; brother, Ray Daniels of Stillwater, OK; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Max Farley of Idabel, Carolyn and Mel Goodenough of New Braunfels, TX and Kay and Rich Raun of Montgomery, TX; special friends, Cindy Fulmer and Lisa Strawn both of Idabel, OK; several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
    
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in Idabel, OK with Rev. Mark Polson officiating. A private interment will follow at the Denison Cemetery.
