Rosie Reid Obituary
Rosie Reid, 86, longtime resident of McCurtain County, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Idabel. She was born May 24, 1920 at Broken Bow, the daughter of Joseph Harlen and Mary Elizabeth Cook Lyons.
Rosie was a homemaker, and enjoyed gardening and flowers. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rosie was affiliated with the Presbyterian Faith and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Harlen Reid; and 11 brothers and sisters.
Rosie is survived by her grandchildren, Leisa and Preston Wheeler of Idabel, Jeff Reid of Idabel, and Stephanie Peebles of Mt. Vernon; great-grandchildren, Koty Wheeler and Skyler Wheeler both of Idabel, Ashlyn Sylvia and Marissa Peebles both of Mt. Vernon; a daughter-in-law, Pat Reid Dalpoas of Hartshorne; a sister, Vivian "Sis" Barnes of Leoti, Kansas; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
