Longtime McCurtain County resident, Sharon Kay Hobbs, 65, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at her home in Idabel, OK..
The daughter of Clarence and Essie Cody, Sharon was born on November 15, 1954 in Ft. Towson, OK. Sharon had an Associate Degree in Education from the Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She owned and operated the Miki-Mart for 12 years with her husband "Bear" until retiring in 2012. Sharon enjoyed sewing, canning, cooking and traveling every chance she got. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sharon was affiliated with the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Daniel Walker, one brother, Ronnie Cody; nephew, Ryan Taft and niece, Casey Cody.
Sharon is survived by her former husband of eighteen years, Calvin “Bear” Hobbs of Idabel, OK; daughter and son-in-law, Candice and Sean Sharp of Idabel, OK; grandchildren, Jonah Bryant, Josie Sharp, Dylan Walker, Breanna Bass; great-grandchildren; Kylan, Bentlee and Zendella; sisters, Vicki Cody of Swink, OK and Janice and Randy Hardaway of Swink, OK; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Private services will be held.
