Agnes (Bates) Daniels

Agnes May (Bates) Daniels, age 70, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Paris, TX. She was born October 29, 1954, in Oklahoma City, OK, the daughter of O.D. Clayton Bates and Catherine Elizabeth (Jobe) Bates.

Agnes had a love for reading, often finding joy in getting lost in a good book. Her caring nature was evident through her many years of dedicated service as a Nurse’s Aide at Hills Nursing Home.

She was a member of Idabel Freewill Baptist Church and her faith was an important part of her life. Having spent most of her life in McCurtain County, she was very proud of her community. Her memory will be cherished by family and friends, remembering her love and her caring heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clayton Bates, Michael Bates; sister, Barbara Alvarez

Agnes leaves to cherish her memory her son, David Daniels; sister; Deborah Wilson and Keith of the Redland Community; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be private.
