Annie L Owens

Annie L. Owens, age 82, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Texarkana, TX. She was born March 24, 1942, in DeKalb, TX, the daughter of Lee and Cleo Jackson.

Annie was an accomplished homemaker and later worked as a CNA. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed family gatherings, arts, crafts, coloring and baking.

Annie was a faithful member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Idabel, OK. She enjoyed the ladies Sunday School class, singing, and being part of various activities. Upon moving to Idabel, OK she became a member of the First Baptist Church West Side. She was very active in the choir, Missions Ministry and Youth Bible Studies. Her services were offered wherever she was needed to help in the ministry of the Lord. She loved singing and over the years sang in several choirs and groups. A devoted and supportive mother, she loved her family and was very involved in her children's activities growing up. Whether she was called “grandma”, “grandmother” or “GiGi” she loved her grandchildren with all that she had and she gave her ALL.

She is preceded in passing by her parents and a brother.

Annie leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Judy Seals of Katy, TX; sons, Anthony Daniels of Dallas, TX, Harold Owens of Menifee, CA, Alex Owens of Mansfield, TX and Melvin Owens of Argyle, TX; grandchildren, Kira Lavalais, Wynton Daniels, Kayla Daniels, Kelsey Daniels, Justin Justice, Christopher Owens, Chase Owens, Sterling Owens, Jarvis Owens, Madison Owens; 4 great-grandchildren, Cherie, Ciara, Andrew, Alyssa along with many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Idabel, OK with Bro. Jason Clark officiating.
