Bernice Williams

Bennie Bernice Williams, age 94, of Idabel, OK passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at her home in Idabel, OK. She was born on October 4, 1925 in Idabel, OK to Thomas and Myrtha (Reed) Willie.

Bernice was a homemaker and along with her husband owned and operated Buck’s Garage. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at McCurtain Memorial Hospital for several years. Bernice enjoyed dancing, fishing and taking care of her yard. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Idabel and dearly loved her church family.

Bernice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Buster “Buck” Williams; brothers, Raymond Willie, Thomas Willie, Jr., Billy Gene Willie and sister, Faye Baxter.

Bernice is survived by her son; Mike and Cindy Williams of Edmond, OK,  daughters, LaJuan Marston of Ada, OK, Carolyn and Ronnie Jones of Idabel, OK and Brenda and Jack Walden of Battiest, OK; 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; special lifelong friend, Helen Buckley; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the First United Methodist Church in Idabel, OK with Rev. Mark Polson officiating.  Interment will follow at Canfield Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2020 at the funeral home.
