Bessie Martin Obituary

Bessie Dean Martin, age 85 passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Idabel, OK. She was born on August 24, 1935 in Little Rock, AR, the daughter of Charlie and Wilma Hall Clifton.

Bess was a woman of many talents. She was a talented seamstress and worked in both gown and shoe manufacturing. Bess enjoyed spending time with family and friends and had lived most of her life in the Eagletown area.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jimmy Carl Clifton, Wilburn Clifton and Jerry Clifton; a grandson, Donnie Ray Davis; great-grandchildren, Albert Orin Owen and Lillian Dean Perry.

Bess is survived by her daughters, Tammy Davis Owen and Fred of DeQueen, AR, Sandra Middlebrooks Holt and Jennell Middlebrooks Goss both of Eagletown, OK; sons, Jackie Davis and Gerald Wayne Davis both of Eagletown, OK; brothers, Tommy Clifton and Charlie Eugene Clifton both of Rattan, OK; grandchildren, Kenny Ray Holt, Tara Holt, Laci Blackwood, Davi Blackwood, Kim Perry and Scott, Orin Owen and Dulce, Kayla Owen, Sean Owen and Maria, Kara Craig and Brian, Donnie Kale Middlebrooks and Colleen Baird; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
