Brenda Joyce (McCown) Gamble

Brenda Joyce Gamble, age 77 beloved mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and lifelong resident of McCurtain County passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at her home in the Pollard Community. She was born on March 23, 1947 in Idabel, OK, the daughter of Joe and Joyce McCown.

Brenda was a devoted pet owner, who found immense joy in caring for her little dog, Rowdy He was a great comfort and her constant companion. However, her greatest passion was her family. Brenda cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and was always there to offer love and support.

Brenda worked for several years at Kellwood Sewing Factory and later as a cashier at Warehouse Foods, where she made countless friends and touched many lives with her kindness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Joyce McCown; husband, Bob Gamble; and son-in-law, Darrel Edmondson.

Brenda is survived by her daughters, Ann Gragg and Charlie of the Pollard Community, Cindy Edmondson of Idabel, OK; grandchildren, Jason Coffman and Tracy, Larry Gragg, Brandon Gragg and Kristen, Ashley Edmondson, Cody Edmondson and Sophie, Brent Edmondson and Harvest; great-grandchildren, Blake, Jaycee, Leia, Laela, Brandon, Jr., Brantlee, Caylee, Brayden, Jasper, Peyton, Brody, Darah; brothers, Joe McCown and Cathy of Idabel, OK, Lyndell McCown and Brenda of Pollard Community, OK sister, Karen Neal and Don of Redland Community and special niece, Keri Neal of Benton, AR and her little dog, Rowdy; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the White Family Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tag Rowan officiating. Interment followed at the Redland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 27, 2024 at the funeral home.
