Bugger Strawn

Howard “Bugger” Strawn, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 surrounded by his loving family at his home in Idabel, OK.  He was born on January 8, 1961 in Idabel, OK, the son of Howard and Mavis Strawn. On March 24, 2000 Bugger married Brandy Jamerson at DeQueen, AR.

Bugger retired from Weyerhauser after many years. He took several years off to be at home with his family. Bugger opened Strawn’s Automotive in 2022 where he spent the next year doing what he enjoyed. One of his greatest passions was working the wrecker alongside his son, Cody.

After work, he could be found watching his favorite softball team (OU) or sitting around the kitchen table with his family, telling jokes and picking fun at his wife with his daughters.

Bugger enjoyed playing an intense game of Spades with friends, and camping at the lake with family and friends. Bugger took pride in driving his Babygirl, Shandy to school.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Mavis Strawn.

Bugger is survived by wife of 25 years, Brandy Jamerson Strawn; daughters, Andy Strawn and Shandy Strawn of the home; family dog, Fancy; sons, Doug Strawn and Ashlyn of Idabel, OK, Cody Strawn and Andee of Idabel, OK; grandchildren, Layndon Strawn, Blaken Strawn and Carli Wright, Shelby Price, Brody Carlisle, Addysen Rowan and Tanner Johnson, Bevin Strawn; mother and father-in-law, Alvin and Tammy Jamerson of Garvin, OK; brothers, Punkin Strawn and Sharon of Durant, OK, Tater Strawn and Lisa of Idabel, OK, Pepper Strawn and Tania of Houston, TX; sisters, Myra McBrayer of Idabel, OK, Marsha Gifford of Philadelphia, MS; brother-in-law, Hot Rod Jamerson of Idabel, OK; sister-in-law, Daphne Gifford and Allen of Paris, TX; numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at White Family Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 12, 2025 at The Church in Millerton, OK with Bro. Brent Coffey officiating. Interment will follow at Wheelock Cemetery.
