Carson "Ed" Wright

Carson “Ed” Wright, age 74 passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at his home in Texarkana, TX. He was born on November 26, 1945 in Haworth, OK, the son of Kit Carson and Julia Hudgins Wright. 

Ed worked in the log woods for several years. He was veteran of the United States Marine Corp. An avid outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Ed was affiliated with the Assemblies of God and lived most of his life in Haworth, OK moving to Texarkana, TX six years ago to be near family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ollie Wright; and a nephew, Johnny Trim.

Ed is survived by his sons; Floyd Wright and Lisa of  Red Water, TX and Kevin Wright and Laurie Smith of Texarkana, TX; grandchildren, Amber Rowland and Kerry, Krista Wright, Hailey Wright, David Wright and Cheyenne and Stephen Wright; brothers, Jerry Wright and Jimmy Wright both of  Haworth, OK and Joseph Wright of Idabel, OK; sisters, Josie Bates and Lola Reynolds both of Idabel, OK, Rita White and Ruth Strawn both of  Haworth, OK; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Faith Assembly of God Church in Idabel, OK with Bro. Ronnie Bates officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Haworth Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the funeral home.
