Charles L Campbell

Charles Campbell, age 81 passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at his home in Idabel, OK. He was born September 9, 1940 in New Hope, OK, the son of Leonard and Floy Loyd Campbell. 

Charles was a diesel mechanic and the majority of his career was spent at Jimmy Tucker Trucking. Charles was a veteran of the US Navy and was a lifetime member of VFW #4077 and the American Legion.

Charles was a genealogy enthusiast and had thoroughly researched his family history. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Charles was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Donna Campbell in 2020; and a sister-in-law, Debbie Azlin.

Charles is survived by his sons, Loyd Campbell and Nita of Wright City, OK and Mike Campbell and Brandy of Prattville, AL; grandchildren, Shawn Campbell, Jessica Evans, Sarah Flowers, Logan Lindly, Blane Lindly, Ashley Jones, Amanda Campbell, Cameron Baker and Jarrin McKinney; great-grandchildren, Allie Evans, Josee Flowers, Aubrey Flowers and Bryson Jones; brothers, Russell Campbell, Kenneth Campbell, Presley Nicks, Corky Baker, Mike Marsh and Ronnie Marion; sisters, Kelly Dee George and Lori Beyer; brothers-in-law, Ronnie Azlin and Jimmy and Martha Tucker; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at the Denison Cemetery with Bro. Tracy Loyd officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, September 2, 2022 at the funeral home.
