On Wednesday, June 22, 2022, Charles (Chip) R. Green, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away at home in Tom, Oklahoma at the age of 77. He was born September 15, 1944, in Foreman, Arkansas, the son of Cleo and Doris (Dover) Green. He retired in 2007 after 42 years working all across the country as a Field Engineer in the construction industry.
On March 1st, 1965, he married the love of his life, Brenda (Coleman). He was known for his quick wit, his sense of humor, his infectious laughter, and his larger-than-life personality.
Chip was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with family and friends. Chip‘s favorite place in all of his travels was always the Rocky Mountains.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Brenda Green; two daughters, Sheila Vines (Morris) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Stacy Beckett (Scott) of Black Diamond, Washington; one son, Donnie Green (Julie) of Odessa, Texas. Seven grandsons: Dr. Hunter Vines (Jacie), Lucas Vines, Conner Nichelson (Krista), Blaine Nichelson, and Braleigh Nichelson, Ethan Beckett and Alex Beckett. One Granddaughter Shae Nichelson: Three Great-Grandchildren. Three Brothers, Clarence “Gene” Green (Cindy) of Texarkana, Arkansas and Robert “Bob” Green of Texarkana, Texas, and Steve Sanders (Cyndi) of Benton, Arkansas. One Sister Kathy Pond (Jimmy) of Deer Park, Texas.
Graveside service will be held at 10 am. on Saturday, June 25th, 2022 at the Tom Cemetery in Tom, Oklahoma.
