Cheryl Kay Lester, age 68 of Idabel, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love, on May 8, 2026. She was born on September 07, 1957 in Hudson, Michigan the daughter of Robert E Lee and Ardyce Joy Lee. After graduating from Santa Barbara Business college She worked in several Hospitals and medical fields including McCurtain County Memorial Hospital as 2nd floor medical secretary for 10 years.
Cheryl was known for her kindness, steady presence, and devotion to her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and relaxing outside with her plants enjoying a nice breeze .She was the steady center of her family, the one everyone could count on for support, understanding, and unconditional love.
She is survived by her husband, Lyle Lester; her children, Juanita Lee, Robert Bonner, and Lynette Torres; and her grandchildren, Ashley Lee, Joseph Biven, Alexia Britton, Kenneth Biven Jr., Jayce Bonner, Elena Battaglia, Natachia Miller, Jazzmin Turnbull, Angel Zamora, Catarina Chavez, Scott Battaglia, and Azaylea Torres and 20 great grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters, Mari McCarley and Judith Rupp, and her life long friend Linda Martinez along with many other relatives and friends who cared for her deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. Lee and Ardyce Joy Lee, and by her sister, Vickie Atkison.
Her love and light will continue to guide those she leaves behind.
The family will honor her life privately. In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held.
