Christine (Massey) Mooney

            Christine Mooney entered her Heavenly home on Sunday September 6, 2020 at her home in Idabel, OK. She was born on November 2, 1942 in Tulare, CA, the daughter of Rev. WW Massey and May Belle Whitaker Massey.

             Christine worked at the Kellwood Co. for several years. She later began a 23 year career with Idabel Public Schools where she started out in the cafeteria then librarian and finished her years as a secretary.

                Christine loved gardening. She could make anything grow beginning with a seed to a full grown plant. She enjoyed facebook, watching Dr. Pol and American Pickers. Christine loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was affiliated with the Idabel Church of God and had lived most of her life in Idabel.

             She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim Mooney; a brother, Travis Massey; and a sister, Dovie Nelson.

             Christine is survived by her daughters, Kim Mooney of the home, Cindy and Mark McGehee of Milburn, OK and Heather and Marvin Hill of Eagletown, OK; grandchildren, Melonie Westhoff and Matt of Jacksonville, AR, Mindy Boyle of Gun Barrell, TX, Brittany Hill of Eagletown, OK and Dewayne Hill of Eagletown, OK; great-grandchildren, Austin Weldon of Tuscon, AZ, Bailey Raugust of Las Vegas, NV, Kinley Boyle of Gun Barrell, TX and Marvin Dewayne" Little Marvin" Hill III of Eagletown, OK; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends that she loved dearly. 

             Christine will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and daughter.

             Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 2:00 p.m. at the White Family Chapel with Bro Wayne Freeman officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.

            The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the funeral home.
