Claudia Wray

Claudia Reid Wray, age 85 of Idabel, OK passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Idabel. She was born on August 20, 1935 in Broken Bow, OK, the daughter of Levi and Susie Mae Ellison Reid.

Claudia was raised in the Broken Bow area and attended school there. She and her husband Hollis Walsh lived in the Houston, TX area for several years where they owned and operated a auto parts store. They moved back to McCurtain County in 1996 and Hollis passed away in 2005. Claudia married Mac Wray in 2011 and they made their home in Idabel.

Claudia was a homemaker and had many interests which included quilting, cooking and crafts. She enjoyed making candy and would give it away to friends, family and even strangers. Claudia was also a talented piano player and loved to sing. She was a devoted and longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Idabel. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hollis Walsh; sons, Raymond Walsh and Greg Walsh; and her 13 brothers and sisters, GD Reid, LB Reid, James Reid, Duane Reid, Annie Lee Reid, Mozell Clowers, Felix Reid, David Reid, Dale Reid, Luke Reid, Luther Reid, Joe Reid and Jacob Reid.

Claudia is survived by her husband, Mac Wray of the home; her daughter, Holly Walsh of  Broken Bow, OK; step-daughters, Becky Coursey and Danny and Toni Ward and Mark all of Idabel, OK; grandchildren, Susie Barnfield and TJ England; great-grandchildren, Anthony Walsh, Santana Barnfield, Clayton Barnfield and Matthew Barnfield; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Idabel, OK with Bro. Andy Bowman officiating. Interment will follow at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Broken Bow, OK.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the funeral home.
