Cresie Lee (Spradley) White passed away on Wednesday, December 11 at her home in Idabel, OK. She was born on May 23, 1945 in Jesup, GA, the daughter of Earl and Emmie (Manning) Spradley. Cresie married Joel "JT" White on June 22, 1963.
Cresie pursued her own education, after having ensured that her 3 children were on secure career paths. She then obtained her teaching degree and library certification, to later work and retire as the Haworth High School librarian.
She was a beloved and active member of First Baptist Church in Idabel, and found her contribution & time cooking with the church kitchen personally rewarding and appreciated.
Cresie grew up in south Georgia, but has raised her family in Idabel over the last 55 years, having made countless dear friends on her journey.
She especially loved her sewing friends “Sassy Stitchers”, quilting retreats and group trips to distant outlet malls, and Branson Missouri show experiences, and all of the laughs along the way.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Earl and Emmie Spradley, and her first born son, Michael Harley White.
Cresie is survived by husband of 61 years, Joel "JT" White Jr. of Idabel, OK; son, Russell Lee White and wife, Jenny of Springfield, MO, grandson, Mitchell Lee White and wife, Emily of Springfield, MO, great-granddaughter, Adilynn Grace, great-grandson, Maxwell Lee, grandson, Nathaniel Lee White of Springfield, MO; daughter, Pattie Christine (White) Lancaster and husband Greg of Idabel, OK, grandson, Bryce Lancaster and Rachel of Prosper, TX, grandaughter, Abbigayle Lancaster Albrecht and Blaine of Caddo Mills. TX, great-granddaughter, Parker Lee, granddaughter, Macie Lee Lancaster, granddaughter, Madelyn White Delp and husband, Mark of Earlysville, VA; a brother, Delmus Spradley of Jesup, GA; several nieces, nephews other relatives, as well as many friends and former students.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the First Baptist Church in Idabel, OK with Bro Jon Hicks officiating. Interment will follow at the Canfield Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 m to 8: 00 pm on Friday, December 13, 2024 at the funeral home.
