Daniel "Keith" Walker

Daniel Keith Walker, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 in Idabel, OK the son of William Daniel and Faye (Calloway) Walker. Keith and Nancy (Pearce) Walker celebrated 52 years of marriage on July 30, 2023.

Keith served in The United States Army and received the National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm Unit Citation, Vietnam Service Medal, and 4 Bronze Star Medals while serving his country.

Keith was a member of the Idabel Masonic Lodge and Idabel First Baptist Church. He served on the Weyerhaeuser Grant Foundation Committee, a member of the HR Block Franchise Advisory Council and Owned and operated 2 income tax franchises.

Keith was a devoted husband, father and granddad. He was the ultimate girls’ daddy. He took them everywhere teaching them to hunt, fish and shoot. He loved to travel with his family and spending precious time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Faye Walker; twin siblings, Donald Ray and Brenda Gaye.

Keith leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Nancy Walker of the home; daughters, Kristal and Hal Hawes of Georgetown, TX and their children, Ary and Walker, Keitha and Bobby Elmore of Mt. Pleasant, TX; special sister-in-law, Marsha Ferguson of Detroit, TX and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation and celebration of life will be held at White Funeral Chapel on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
