David Reid

Albert David Reid, age 88 passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020 at his home in Broken Bow, OK. He was born on February 20, 1932 in Celeste, TX, the son of Levi and Susie Ellison Reid. David was raised in the Broken Bow area. He lived in California for several years moving back to Broken Bow after retiring.

David was a veteran of the US Army where he served during the Korean Conflict. He was in the auto parts business for several years. He was an avid gardener, loved taking care of his flowers and bird watching. David was a member of the Rock and Mineral Club and the Hollycreek Volunteer Fire Dept. 
David was a member of the Oak Hill Assembly of God Church. He loved the Lord and raised his family in Church. He was a longtime Sunday School Teacher.
 
He was  preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marie Reid; a daughter, Joanna Moore; and several brothers and sisters.

David  is survived by his daughter, Laura Thompson of Broken Bow, OK; a son, David V Reid of Broken Bow, OK; grandchildren, Cody Moore, Brenda Longnecker, Suzanne Roeder, Thomas Smith, Richard Ballinger, Michelle Ballinger, Crystal Eade and Melissa Deen; great-grandchildren, Adia Reid, David Robinson, Kyle Heisig, Caleb Porter, Gevadon Eade, Alec Eade, Aislyn Eade, Siorus Eade, Kai Ballinger, Eric Longnecker, Alex Longnecker, Esther Roeder, Evan Roeder, Tylor Dodds and Winter White; sister, Claudia Wray and Mac of Idabel, OK; 5 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 15, 2020  at the Oak Hill Assembly of God Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 16, 2020 at the Oak Hill Assembly of God Church with Bro Jon Hollinghead officiating. Interment will follow at the Crown Hill Cemetery.
