Dearel Oglesby Obituary

Longtime resident of the Redland community, Dearel Wayne Oglesby, 67 passed away on March 5, 2021 in Frisco, Texas.

Born on October 22, 1953 in Paris, Texas, Dearel was the son of L.C. Oglesby and Imodene (Mcfatridge) McHargue. He was a graduate of Haworth High School and attended Murray State to become a taxidermist. He later discovered his talent for carpentry. He worked all over the country and built many structures here in McCurtain County. When Dearel wasn’t working he enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and playing softball.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Johnny McHargue; brothers, Ronnie and Jimmy McHargue; sister, Caroline Shelton and first wife, Laura Wells.

Leaving behind his daughter, Angela Oglesby of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; mother of his other three children, Doris Detar of Haworth, Oklahoma; daughter, Amanda Combrink of Haworth, Oklahoma; son, Christopher Oglesby and wife, Natasha of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; daughter, Samantha Oglesby of Haworth, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; Blake, Kenneth, Kade, Colton, Matthew, Tayton, Cutter, Savannah and Kyndellyn; several great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and many friends.
