Donnie (Stephens) Phillips

Frances LaDonna Stephens Phillips was born on September 16, 1939. To her family, friends and acquaintances she was known as Donnie and to her grandchildren and great grandchildren she was Nonnie. She was selfless to a fault. She loved and sacrificed for her family. We reminded her often that she was the “best mother in the world.”
Donnie gave freely of herself and her time. She was a supportive and loving friend. She was generous and kind to everyone, even to those she did not know.
Donnie left this earth for heaven on July 12, 2022 for a great family reunion to join family who preceded her in death: her husband Hilton Phillips, her parents Cecil and Gertie Stephens and her sister Freda Stephens-Mize, her brother Deloyd Stephens and her sister Jane Stephens-McGarry. She told us she lived a good and happy life with family and friends who love her and she was ready to go home to be with God.
Donnie is survived by her daughter Terri Phillips and spouse Pamela Gamble of Dallas, Texas, her son Brad Phillips and his wife Dona of Garvin, Oklahoma, and her daughter Kristi Phillips of Plano, Texas.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tara Phillips of Texarkana, TX and her daughters, Shayla and Jayli, Chance Phillips and his wife Kendall and their children Wyatt, Shae, Conlee and Luke of Idabel, Oklahoma and Alina Robinson and her husband Anthony and their son Zac of the United Kingdom.
Her family meant the world to her and for three generations she never missed a ballgame or a performance of any kind until her health would not allow it. She was always there if any need should arise with support, great advice or even a bit of cash if needed. Her great grandchildren meant the world to her.
Donnie is also survived by other family members and friends whom she loved very much.
Donnie was a strong woman with a gentle soul. She will be greatly missed and will always live on in us as we remember the things she taught us all and the example she set.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 6-8 PM in the White Family Chapel.
Donnie’s service and earthly celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at the Bypass Church of Christ.

Interment to follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery in the Forest Grove Community, OK.
Heaven is rejoicing already and welcoming Donnie home.
