Doris Mills

Doris Marie (Wright) Mills of Millerton, Ok went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday February 8, 2022, after a long illness. She was 85 at the time of her passing. She was born March 15, 1936. Doris was a wife, daughter, sister, mother, memaw and great grandmother and loved by all. She lived a life of passion for her family. She was a Deacon of Spirit Rock Church and enjoyed leading the ladies group. She was a matriarch, mentor, “The” Yoda adviser of our family and friend to all. She is survived by her son Roger Mills, daughter in law Patricia, her daughter Cheryl (Mills) McCauley, son in law Casey McCauley, and two other daughters in law, Ranae Mills, Vicki Mills, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews along with many friends. She was proceeded in death her husband Murray Mills, two sons, Michael and Joel Mills, her parents and all of her brothers and sisters. As we all know, Memaw had many “Pearls of Wisdom”. One which comes to mind is “You have the same shoes to great glad in”

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT SERVICES:

Doris Mills’ son Joel Mills preceded her in death on Saturday October 9, 2021. Due to Covid-19 restrictions we were not able to have a funeral for Joel at the time of his death. Therefore, Doris Mills’ funeral will be a combined funeral and memorial service for her and her son Joel. Their combined family night for Doris and her son Joel will be at the White Family Funeral Home at 3 N.E. 3rd St., Idabel, OK 74745 on Thursday, February 17th 2022, from 6pm to 8pm under the direction of David White. Doris Mills’ funeral and Joel Mills Memorial Service will be a combined service on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 10am at “THE CHURCH” 13891 W US Highway 70 Garvin, OK 74736. Pastor Brent Coffee and Zachary and Sydney Naylor will be Officiating. Doris Mills’ Interment will be at the Old Ringold Cemetery and according to Joel’s wishes his Internment (His Ashes) will be placed with his wife Vicki when they are reunited for Eternity.
