Dorothy Mary Alberty

Dorothy Phillips Alberty, age 71 passed this life on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at her home in Idabel, OK. She was born in Tunica, MS on January 1, 1951.

Dorothy was an accomplished homemaker and loved to cook for and take care of people. She enjoyed attending blues concerts, rodeos and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gus Phillips; her mother, Alice Shorter Phillips; her husband, Richard Alberty; a step-daughter, Oneta Alberty; brother, William Phillips and sisters, Learlene Simpson and Betty Burris.

Dorothy is survived by step-son, DeLaney Alberty; step-daughter, Shayna Alberty; numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins, Godchildren, sisters and brothers-in-law, other relatives and many friends.

A balloon release in memory of Dorothy will be held Saturday July 3, 2021 at 6:00pm at the Booker T. Washington Community Center, 100 NW Jamaica Ave, Idabel, OK 74745.
