Dorothy Jo (Rieves) Hester

Dorothy Hester, age 87 longtime Valliant resident passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Idabel, OK. She was born on January 18, 1933 in Valliant, OK, the daughter of Aubrey and Elsie Peden Rieves. 

Dorothy was a homemaker. She had lived in several places while following her husband's military career, with Valliant always being home. Dorothy was an active member of the VFW Auxiliary and affiliated with the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed gardening, needle work and playing bingo at the VFW. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Marvin Hester.
 
Dorothy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Pattie Hester of Valliant, OK; grandchildren, Chasity Clary and Jon of Washington, OK, Kimberlee Silk and Joseph of Watson, OK and Ian Hester and Teneshia of Valliant, OK; great-grandchildren, Mackenzee, Kaden, Isabelle, Jude, Sophia, Josey, Luke, Norah, Ruthie, Marcus, Jazzy and Tranden; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Lorna Rieves of Taos, NM; a sister, Charlene Hughes of Idabel, OK;  several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 7, 2020 at the Valliant Cemetery in Valliant, OK with Bro. Mike Mings officiating.
