Effielene Harley

Effielene Harley, age 91 passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, December 8, 2025 at Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris, TX. She was born in Idabel, OK on February 14, 1934 the daughter of Tobias and Rosa Williston. Effielene married her sweetheart, Roy Harley on May 8, 1952.

She was employed with Idabel Schools until her retirement. She was a member of Bokchito Methodist Church and loved listening to gospel songs. Effielene always said that Roy was her very best friend and they are together now reunited along with their three sons, Mike Harley, Jeff Harley, Johnny Harley, three daughters Charlene Harley, Sandra Harris, Cynitha Harley; two grandsons, Kirby Harley, Erik Harley and one granddaughter, Cheryl Williams.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Tobias and Rosa Williston; eight brothers, Silas, William, John, Leroy, James, Ben, Angus, Kenneth; three sisters, Alline Johnson, Esterleene Anderson, Virginia Franklin.

Effielene leaves to cherish her memory her son, Billy and Phebe Harley; daughter, Karen and David Wesley; twenty grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Stella Williston and Martha Williston; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 12, 2025 at the White Family Chapel with Alfred Harley, Jr. and Rick Kaniatobe officiating. Interment to follow at the Denison Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the funeral home.
