Elizabeth Juanita "Nita" Wiggins, age 79 passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 at her home in Idabel, OK. She was born on April 4, 1943 in McAlester, OK, the daughter of Franklin Lyle Crain and Avis Lavenia Tutt Crain.
Nita worked as a respiratory therapist at McCurtain Memorial Hospital for over 30 years. She enjoyed embroidery, books and taking care of her cats. Nita had lived in the Idabel area since 1976.
Nita was loving with many artistic talents. She constantly put others and their needs before her own. She was proud of nurturing the success of her children, thus raising 3 successful children along with many others who will miss her earthly presence greatly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Landra Wiggins; a brother, Lawrence "Button" Bain; and a great-granddaughter, Ophelia Grace Pannell.
Nita is survived by sons, Richard Weldon Wiggins and Lacretia of Broken Bow, OK and David Chris Wiggins and Tammy of Stillwater, OK; a daughter, Marta Lori Wiggins of Montrose, CA; a step-daughter, Susan Diane Roe of Channelview, TX; grandchildren, Kolton Wiggins of Idabel, OK, Alannah Pannell and Trevor Matlock both of Broken Bow, OK; great-grandchildren, Alessia Pannell and Wesley Pannell both of Broken Bow, OK ; sisters, Pat Cowell of Valliant, OK, Lois Pond and Joan Palmer both of Idabel, OK; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A private inurnment will be held at Canfield Cemetery.
