Ellen Marie (Gilmer) Epperson

Ellen Marie Epperson, age 77 of Idabel, OK passed peacefully in her home in Idabel, OK on Friday, September 3, 2021. She was born on April 29, 1944 in Murfreesboro, AR to Billy W. Gilmer and Minnie R. (Jones) Gilmer. She married John Wesley Epperson on June 10, 1992 in the First Baptist Church at Idabel, OK.

Ellen and John were long time members of the First Baptist Church in Idabel, OK. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, spending time with her family, especially every Thanksgiving and Christmas. She was the owner of Nana’s Place in Idabel where she did custom embroidery. She was always making costumes and dresses for her grandkids.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Joshua Stephen Fee.

She was cherished by her husband John; her daughters, Sherri L. Auld & Brady of Royal, AR, Mary K. Fee & Greg of Bean Station, TN, and Judy A. Denison & Roger of Idabel, OK; her son, Jimmy W. Halcomb & Kristi of Idabel, OK; sister, Phyllis Nicholson and Jerry; five grandchildren, Michelle, Erin, Kaitlin, Zachary and Ashton; five great-grandchildren, Elijah, Kacelynn, Ezekiel, Claire and Oliver; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at White Family Funeral Home Chapel, 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 9, 2021 with Rev. Kyle Jordan officiating.

Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Forest Grove Community.

Public viewing will be from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Tuesday, September 7, 2021 and 9:00 am to 8:00 pm Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the funeral home.
