Evelyn Holman

Evelyn Levica Holman, age 98 of Idabel passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at her home in Idabel, OK. She was born in Idabel, OK on April 9, 1927 the daughter of Samuel and Virginia Coffey.

Along with her husband Evelyn owned and operated Ray’s Grocery in Idabel for many years. She was a wonderful cook who enjoyed baking birthday cakes for church members at the Bypass Church of Christ where she attended church in Idabel. She was also an accomplished seamstress who could sew just about anything she put her mind to sew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; brothers, Wayne Coffey, Haskel Coffey; sisters, Bonnie Sorge, Jane Fisher; daughter, Janet Sue Holman; son, Raymond David Holman.

Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory; her son, Jerial Wade Holman and Carmen of Riverside, CA; daughters, Ginger Phillips of Bloomfield, NM, Audrey Diane Hudson of Idabel, OK; grandchildren, April Cochran of Idabel, OK, Krystle Suarez and Brian of Riverside, CA, Furst Phillips and Becky of Bloomfield, NM, Grady Phillips and Tonya of Midland, TX, Shannan Dolan and James of Bloomfield, NM and Michele Peden and Gerald of Longview, TX; fifteen great-grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 7, 2025 at Bypass Church of Christ in Idabel, OK. Interment to follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the funeral home.
