Faye Weeks DeVore

Fay T. Tucker-Weeks-Devore, was born on June 23, 1925 in Union Grove, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of George and Martha Tucker of Union Grove, Oklahoma.

Fay worked diligently along-side her first husband, Howard Weeks, who was the Idabel Tag Agent from 1946-1988. Following his death, Fay was appointed the Idabel Tag Agent and remained so until 1990. Fay retired from the Tag Agency in 1990 and during her retirement she enjoyed going antique shopping, going out to eat with friends, crocheting, quilting and spending time with family. Fay was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 60 years. Twenty-two years following her retirement, Fay remarried Dr. A.E. DeVore on April 1, 2010 in Texarkana, Arkansas. Fay and Dr. DeVore enjoyed most of their time traveling together and of course spending time with their families.

Fay was preceded in death by her parents, Martha and George Tucker and eleven siblings; her half-brother, Clayton Tucker; half-sister, Lilly Tucker Dean; brothers, George “Fat” Tucker, Jesse Tucker, Lester Tucker, Coy Tucker, Roy Tucker, Mitchell Tucker and Newtie Tucker; her sisters, Mary Tucker Roberson and Alta Tucker Weeks; preceded her first husband, Howard W. Weeks; her second husband, Dr. A.E. DeVore, her two children, Bobby Clyde Weeks and Peggy Ann Weeks.

Fay is survived by her son, Harold Wilburn “Bill” Weeks and wife Sharon of Broken Bow, OK; her daughter, Cindy Darnel Weeks Culbreath and husband Clarence of Tecumseh, OK; grandchildren, Todd Weeks, David Carneghi of St. Louis, MO, Tracy and Russell Clinton of Idabel, OK, Jo Stewart of Shawnee, OK, Scott and Angela Culbreath of Noble, OK, Christopher and Gina Culbreath of Edmond, OK; great-grandchildren, Stacey, Kyle, Lacey, Jesse, Jakob Stewart, Chelsea, Christian, Jordon, Jaxson, Chloe; great-great-grandchildren Bradyn Baker, Tyler, Kaylee, Brinley, Caden, Hunter and Wendi; special friends, Sue and Jimmy Harris.

Fay loved to play the game of Moon. She especially enjoyed going to church and had a deep love for her church family.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Monday, April 28, 2025 at White Family Funeral Home.
