FloraBell Donaldson

FloraBell Francis Donaldson, age 94 passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 in Idabel, OK. She was born on February 5, 1926 in New Orleans, LA, the daughter of William David Scott Sr. and Florence Touchard Scott.  

She was an accomplished homemaker and talented cook. She enjoyed taking care of her yard. FloraBell loved her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. 
FloraBell was of the Pentecostal Faith and a devout Christian. She enjoyed singing in and attending Church. FloraBell loved serving the Lord and raised her family in Church. 
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; Gilbert Donaldson; infant son, John David Donaldson; brothers, W.D. Scott, Joe Scott, Atwell Scott, George Scott and Gerard Gaupp; sisters, Ellen Pettigrew and Loraine Turner and special friend, Jack Dumont.

FloraBell  is survived by her sons, James Donaldson of Idabel, OK, Cecil Donaldson and his wife, Sharlette of the Holly Creek Community, OK; daughters, Joyce Freeman and husband, Roger of Idabel, OK, Kathy Holen and her husband, Brian of Valliant, OK; grandchildren Steve Donaldson, Keith Donaldson, Jetta White, Rex Donaldson, Rindi Citty, Josh Donaldson, Teresa Freeman, Holli Thacker, Karla Jordan, Nikki Fuller, Miranda Adams, sister, Betty Shockley and husband, Gayle of Idabel, OK; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Scott and Louise Scott; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2020 at the Denison Cemetery with Rex Donaldson and Virginia Jones officiating.
