Freda Rodgers Wilburn, age 89, of Midwest City, OK passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019. She was born in Idabel, OK on January 14, 1930 to Fred and
Rena Rodgers.
Freda lived in several cities across Oklahoma before she settled in Midwest City for the past fifty years. She retired from the Oklahoma Department of Human Services after 31 years of service. She was an avid artist, loved basketball and football, and leaves behind a host of wonderful lifelong friends. She was a strong Christian and delighted in researching every book of her Holy Bible and teaching Sunday School classes in several local Baptist churches. She had an unquenchable
thirst for knowledge.
Freda was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Iola McClure and Opal Monday, and three grandchildren, Brittany and Tamara Balisle and Patrick Hilton.
Freda leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Eugenia Hilton, Patricia and Phil Balisle and Frank and Terry Wade, her grandchildren Jennifer and Jeffrey Balisle of Virginia, Tiffany Hilton of Carrollton, TX and Cathy Wade of Edmond OK. In addition, Freda enjoyed her great grandchild, Eve Balisle of Virginia and numerous close relatives and friends.
A private graveside service will be held at the Denison Cemetery in Idabel.
