Mrs. Georgia Mae Hobby, age 76, a resident of Tom, Oklahoma died Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Idabel, Oklahoma.
She was born to Monroe Threadgill and Luvenia Edd in Foreman, Arkansas on September 3, 1944. She was an antique collector and home health aide. She was a member of the Brightstar Baptist Church. Georgia enjoyed fishing, collecting antiques and playing lottery tickets
She is preceded in death by her parents and third born son Anthony Hobby; four brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Glen Dale Holmes of Denton, Texas and Gary Dunn Holmes of Harris, Oklahoma; sisters, Daisy & Tommy Stafford and Luvenia & Kenny Fleming of Tom Oklahoma; Wanda and Charles Owens and Sarah Flemings of Idabel, Mary & Emmett Staford of Eagletown; brothers, Woodrow & Georgia Threadgill of Dekalb, TX and Jerry & Lisa Threadgill and Val Threadgill of Tom Oklahoma; granddaughters, Vanessa Holmes of Mesquite, Texas and Shalicia Hobby of Denton, TX; two great grandchildren Lamarcus Wilson Jr and Lazariah Powell of Mesquite, TX; one Aunt Gladys Griffin of Tom Oklahoma; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.
She will be greatly missed by all she loved and all who loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the Community Baptist Church in Tom, OK. Interment will follow at the Alfred French Cemetery in Foreman, AR.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, June 25, 2021 at the funeral home.
