Geraldine (McDaniel) Hill

Geraldine McDaniel Hill, age 79 passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Idabel, OK. Geraldine was born on December 26, 1945 in Hugo, OK the daughter of John and Mattie Martin McDaniel.

Geraldine was a wonderful homemaker. Her children knew her as a loving mother but also a strict disciplinarian.  Family was everything to Geraldine and she loved unconditionally. She lost her first husband in Vietnam and was left with young children to raise and she did so with determination and love. Although she didn't attend Church regularly, she was still a strong woman of Faith. Geraldine enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman "Eddie" Adams;  sons, Edward Gene Adams and Ray Ferrand ; a son-in-law, Tyler Ledford; sister, Birdie Harger; and brothers, Leonard McDaniel, Carl McDaniel, Troy McDaniel and Hubert McDaniel.

Geraldine leaves to cherish her memory her significant other, Vincent Thomas of Eagletown, OK; sons, Terry Adams of Eagletown, OK, Tom Adams and Jackie Collins of Broken Bow, OK and Marvin D "Red" Hill and Heather of Eagletown, OK; daughters, Sarah Ledford of Broken Bow, OK and Shelia Herring and Ronnie of Broken Bow, OK ; brother, Clarence McDaniel and Lajuan of Hugo, OK; sisters, Joyce Holt of Garvin, OK and Ola Mae McDaniel of Eagletown, OK; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

"If you only knew how much we all LOVE and appreciate all you have done for us. We were always your number one priority no matter what you had to sacrifice. You taught us how to LOVE and be responsible adults. Thank you for doing so, even if it sometimes took tough LOVE!!"

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 2025 at the funeral home..

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at the White Family Chapel with Bro. Doug Deramus, Bro Russell McDaniel and Bro Carl Dean Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.
