Geraldine Voss

Geraldine Voss, age 93 longtime Idabel, OK resident passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 in Arab, Alabama. She was born on September 12, 1928, the daughter of Claud Henry and Lina Jones.

Geraldine was a homemaker. She spent her life doing two things, loving Jesus & loving her family. You could usually find her sewing or altering clothes for her many clients, cooking the best biscuits known to man for her many family members & guest, singing her heart out any chance she had, or at church worshiping the Lord of her life, Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Claud Henry Jones Jr.; sisters, Earline “Sis” Hendrix and Evelyn “Lil” McCormick; husband, Kenneth Voss; children, Sherril Hobbs, Ricky Hobbs and Kenna Austin; a granddaughter, Stephanie “Ticka” Tetrault; and a great-grandson, Jeremiah Truette.

Geraldine is survived by her sister, Reba “Nez” Jones; a daughter, Carolyn Tetrault; grandchildren, Leesa Hobbs, Tanya Lozano, Kenneth Alden, Misty Mckillip, Ricky Hobbs and Chelsea Truett; many great-grandchildren; along with a large extended family and many friends.

Geraldine has fulfilled 2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, March 14, 2022 at the Grace Assembly Church in Idabel, OK with Bro. Kyle Jordan officiating. Interment will follow beside her husband at the Redland Cemetery.

The family will greet friends on Monday, March 14, 2022 beginning at 1:00 pm prior to the service at the Grace Assembly Church.
