Glenda E Pollard Elder

            Glenda E Pollard Elder, age 87, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Idabel, OK. She was born on August 21, 1935 in Idabel, OK, the daughter of Haskell and Helen E Roach Pollard.

            Glenda worked over 20 years as a paralegal in the Oklahoma City area before retiring. She and Le traveled extensively, Hawaii was her absolute favorite place to go. Las Vegas, where she could always attend an Elvis concert, didn’t matter how many times she had seen him before, it was always like the first time to her. They hosted many  fish fries at their cabin on the lake as well as endless times spent water skiing and teaching all the grandchildren to ski.

             After moving to Texarkana, she volunteered at Christus St. Michaels Hospital for 20 years and continued to travel to Branson and Laughlin. Glenda was affiliated with Highland Park Baptist Church in Texarkana, TX.

            She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 51 years, Le Elder; a step-son, Danny Elder; and a brother, Sonny “Hack” Pollard.

            Glenda is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Gregory Smith of Garvin, OK and Sharon and Duane Birdsong of Idabel, OK; brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Betty Pollard of Idabel, OK; sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Leon Snider of Idabel, OK; her grandchildren who knew her as “TuTu”, Kyle Batson and Jacque, Shawn Clampet and Kerri, Clay Hattabaugh and Dawn, Lindsay Deason and Shawn, Cole Hattabaugh and Rachel, Travis Elder and Naomi, Jeremy Elder and Crystal and Heather and Nathan Cloos; great-grandchildren, Blakley, Laney, Kyler, Addison, Zayne, Westin, Clinton, Kynli, Payton, Valor, Adalyn, Jazlyn, Jace, Jayden and Cadence; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at the White Family Chapel with Rev. Roy Conatser officiating. Interment will follow at the Pollard Cemetery.

            The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at the funeral home.
