Gracie Carnell Smith

Gracie Carnell Smith, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the age of 91 at Bartlesville, OK. She was born on June 17, 1933 in Ben Wheeler, TX, the daughter of Marion Carl and Bessie (Hopkins) Klutts. In 1966 Gracie married Robert Lee Smith in Kermit, TX and together they built a beautiful life until his passing in 2015.

Gracie was a loving mother who found immense joy in taking care of her children and babysitting other children in her life. Her love extended with pride of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even great-great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored.

A long-time member of the Haworth Assembly of God Church, Gracie formed many lasting friendships over the years. She will be remembered for her warmth and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Carl and Bessie Klutts; her children, Virgil Carlton Stringfield, Paul Dean Stringfield, Paula Dale Gordon; grandchildren, Carl Adrian Dean Stringfield and Bradly Jey Aylor; brother, John Klutts.

Gracie is survived by her children, Gracie Jones, James and Brenda Stringfield, Kelly Whisennand, and Robbie Smith; sister, Lilly Mae West; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the White Family Funeral Chapel with Jim Smalling officiating. Interment followed at the Redland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 6, 2024 at the chapel.
