Holly Jo Scott

Holly Jo Scott, age 60, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023 at her home in Haworth, OK. Holly was born to John and Betty (Lawler) Scott on April 4, 1963 in Topeka, KS.

She was a 1981 graduate of Haworth High School. Holly attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant and earned a double major in Sociology and Psychology. She worked for Carl Albert Mental Health for several years.

Holly enjoyed fishing and was an avid outdoors person. She was an amateur botanist. Holly was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County and was of the Christian faith.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Scott and brother, Gary Scott.

Holly is survived by her father, Johnny Scott of Winthrop, AR; son, Chris DarkLight of Haworth, OK; brother; John Jay Scott and Lisa of Redland Community, OK; nieces, Laci Scott Moore, Carrie Scott Van Nest; nephew, Gary “Bub” Scott; lifelong friend, Alan Clark; many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at the Haworth Cemetery in Haworth, OK with Rev. Ronnie Bates officiating.
