Inez (Thompson) Sanders

K. Inez Sanders, age 87 previously of Idabel, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at Little River Nursing and Rehab in Ashdown, AR.

Inez was born November 10, 1938 in Muldrow, OK to Andrew and Ada Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, C.S. Sanders and her great grandson Oliver Carter. Inez was the last survivor of her ten brothers and sisters.

Inez was an elementary school teacher at Denison Elementary and Idabel Elementary for 42 years. She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Idabel.

Inez interests included playing cards, fishing, listening to blue grass music and being involved in her church.

Inez leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Randy Sanders and wife, Melodee of Camden, AR and Mike Sanders and wife, Karen of Texarkana, AR; her grandchildren, Elissa Mobley, Sarah and husband, Daniel Carter, Amy and  husband, Tim Carraway and Patrick Sanders; great-grandchildren, Allison Mobley, Gavin Carraway, Sutton Sanders, Emma Carter and Saylor Sanders; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at the funeral home.

Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at the White Family Chapel. Interment to follow at the Denison Cemetery.
