Jack Wesley Brown, age 81 passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025 in Wolfe City, TX. He was born on June 1, 1944, the son of John Wesley and Gladys Brown.
Jack was a loving and devoted husband for 60 years. Jack loved his family, his daughters, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jack’s heart belonged to the Lord and it was his greatest joy to serve Christ. As a pastor of 35 years, he spent many hours in the pulpit, proclaiming God‘s word. Jack’s love and devotion for the Lord came first in his life. Jack enjoyed being outside, he was a great mechanic and loved ranching. Jack never met a stranger and enjoyed a good conversation. If you ever met him you knew he had a heart of gold and had the kindest soul. If he had the opportunity to tell someone about the Lord he would. Jack loved and served his country in the Army. Jack was the mayor of Haworth for 22 years and served his community well. If you ever met Jack you loved him and he will be greatly missed by all, especially those whose lives he touched the most. Jack brought a light into the lives of his loved ones that will go unmatched. He leaves behind a legacy of faith and a passionate commitment to the Lord.
