Longtime resident and businessman, Jack "Jackie" Stewart passed away on February 8, 2021 at his home at the age of 77.
Jack was born on April 21, 1943 in Idabel, Oklahoma, the son of Jack Herman Sr. and Gladys Louise (Wright) Stewart. He was a 1961 graduate of Idabel High School and attended the Oklahoma Military Academy and then graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2007. Jack married his beloved wife, Trudy Miller, on December 13, 1975 in Richmond, TX. That same year he opened Stewart"s Tire and later J and S Tire with his son, Scott. Jack also was an agent for the Reserve National Insurance Company in Oklahoma City from 1985 to 1990 and moved to Little Rock as a Regional Manager until 1995. Jack served our country in the US Army Reserve.
Jack was a past president of the Lion's club and a 32nd degree Mason. He enjoyed cleaning swimming pools, watching OU football, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and grilling ribs. Jack was affiliated with Grace Assembly of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Scott; close friends, Jerry McCombs and Butch Steele.
Jack leaves his wife, Trudy, of the home; five children, Jackye Pruitt and her husband, Mark, of Broken Bow, Glenda Emory and her husband, Doug, of Gig Harbour, WA, Mark Stewart and his wife, Jennifer, of DeQueen, AR, Amber Cook and her husband, Elton, of Russellville, AR and Crystal Ritchie of Idabel; ten grandchildren, William, Chelsea, Addison, Jade, Landry, Marley, Beau, Presley, Ava and Jaqueline; two brothers, Charlie Stewart and his wife, LaJuana of Broken Bow, Marvin Stewart and his wife, Gail, of Idabel; lifelong friends, Hal Jones, M.L. Collins and Victory Poteet; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services to honor Jack's life will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the White Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kyle Jordan officiating. Interment will be held privately.
