James Howard Brown

James Howard Brown, age 74 passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at his home in Idabel, OK. He was born December 7, 1947, in Trenton, New Jersey, the son of Ruben Brown, Jr. and Elsie (Harris) Brown.

James was a longtime resident of McCurtain County and an avid Texas Rangers fan.  He dearly loved all of his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  James will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son-in-law, Kerry Don Manuel, Jr.; and his brother, Anthony Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Jessica Anne Manuel of Idabel, OK, Vanessa Dawn Brown of Mauriceville, TX and Veronica Lynn Soirez of Broken Bow, OK; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A family celebration of life service was held on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at his home in Idabel.
