James N. Chapman of Idabel passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024 at McAlester, OK. He was 89 years of age. He was born September 15, 1934 at Broken Bow, OK to parents, Grover Chapman, Sr. and Jennie S. (McCain) Chapman.
James served in the US Army and later worked pipeline construction traveling across the country for decades. He was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local Union No. 627.
James enjoyed hunting, fishing, and RV Camping. He would visit with anyone he met as he loved to visit.
He married Fay Allison April 28, 2015 at DeQueen, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Grover Chapman, Jr. and sister, Tessie Kemp and previous wife.
James is survived by his wife Fay, as well as stepdaughter, Sandy Roberts and husband, Kenneth and other relatives and friends.
A special thank you to the staff of Walnut Grove Living Center and Heartland Hospice both of McAlester for the kindness and loving care provided to James.
