Janet Lee Prewitt

Janet Lee Prewitt, age 62 passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Medical City Plano in Plano, TX. She was born on November 13, 1961 in, Talihina, OK, the daughter of Elliston Jefferson and Olemae Baker.

Janet was the family cook. She was a homemaker, but her main goal in life was being grandmother and mother. Her passion was taking care of her family. She was a resident of McCurtain County for six years having moved here from Tulsa to be closer to family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ellis Ray Jefferson, Williston Jefferson; sister, Debbie Ann Jefferson; son, Alan Wayne Jefferson; grandson, Brysen Wayne Jefferson; and niece, Nicole Focks.

Janet is survived by her sons, Christopher Lee Jefferson, Theodore Ray Jefferson, Alexander Shane Prewitt, Brent Lee Prewitt; daughters, Brittany Diane Prewitt, Bretta Ann Prewitt; 20 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; niece, Victoria Focks; special friend, Mike Harley and Steve Prewitt; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the White Family Chapel with Bro. Phillip Snow officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at the funeral home.
