Idabel resident, Jeanette Campbell, 84, passed away at her home with her children by her side on April 21, 2021.
The daughter of Henry and Sadie Bourque, Jeanette was born on April 18, 1937 in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. After completing high school, she married the love of her life, Ray Campbell, in 1958. Jeanette and Ray, transferred to this area with Weyerhaeuser in 1973. Jeanette worked as an RN in ICU, ER and was head of the Elder Care program. She retired from public health in 2005.
In her spare time, Jeanette enjoyed reading mystery novels, painting, working with stained glass and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Ray Campbell and son-in-law, Jack Wiest.
Jeanette is survived by her children, Karen Wiest of Spring Branch, TX, Donna Rodgers and husband, James, of Idabel, Greg Campbell and Darla Grant of Broken Bow, Jill Johnston and husband, Traye, of Bethany, OK; two grandchildren, Eric Overstreet, Aaron Carlile and husband, Scott; and one great grandchild, Brody Carlile.
A private memorial service will be held.
