Jeff "Buzzard" Harley

Jeffrey Lewis Harley, age 71 passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at his home in Idabel, OK. He was born on February 25, 1954 in Talihina, OK, the son of Roy and Effielene Harley.

Jeff was an employee of the Valliant Papermill for over 44 years and was known for being a hard worker. However, on his days off work, Jeff could often be found playing dominoes with family and friends. A true outdoorsman at heart, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

Jeff was well known for telling jokes and pulling pranks on his children and his grandchildren making family gatherings filled with laughter and unforgettable memories. For Jeff, family was everything, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He was a proud lifetime resident of McCurtain County and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Harley; brothers, Mike Harley, Johnny Harley; sisters, Charlene Harley, Sandra Harris, Cynthia Harley; great-grandchild, Ava Latajah Ann Pride; niece, Cheryl Williams; nephews, Kirby Harley and Eric Harley.

Jeff leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Lee Harley of Idabel, OK; mother, Effielene Harley of Idabel, OK; son, Jeffrey Harley, Jr. and Monica of Citrus Heights, CA; daughters, Marsha Harley of Battiest, OK, Cicelly Garcia and Mel of Battiest, OK, special friend Uncle Keith Middleton and Pam of Idabel, OK and Ashley Brandy of Battiest, OK; brothers, Billy Harley and Phoebe of Broken Bow, OK; sister, Karen Wesley and David of Idabel, OK; grandchildren, Jagger Harley, Alyssa Harley, Brittany Lerma, Joey Acosta, Brandon Saldana, Kaleb Jeffrey Iltis Harley, five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at the White Family Funeral Chapel with Alfred Harley, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Denison Cemetery.
