Jeta Gail Laxton

Ojeta “Jeta” Gail Laxton, age 66 passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 at her home in Ringold, OK. She was born in Eureka, CA on June 23, 1956, the daughter of Elmer and Audrey (Fairless) Jacobs.

She was a faithful servant who fiercely loved the Lord. Jeta was loyal to her family and friends and was the best mother ever who will be greatly missed.

Jeta moved from Dallas, TX to McCurtain County where she lived for the past 20 plus years.

She was preceded in death by her mother; Gail Black, husband, James Laxton; a son, Bobby Graff; grandmother, Nell Vaughn and grandfather, Tommie Fairless.

Jeta leaves to cherish her memory; her sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney Graff and Lori of Norman, OK and Milton Gustefson of Minnesota; daughter, Danielle Hollingshead of Bray, OK; sister, Jeneine Smith and Pete of Pottsboro, TX; aunt, Donna Pryor of Idabel, OK; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; other relative and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, October 7, 2022 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK with Pastor Roy Brown officiating. Interment will follow at the Bethel Cemetery.
