Jimmie Catherine (Noel) Williamson was born April 7, 1928 to Jim and Francis (Parsons) Noel.
She fell in love with Thelbert Leon “Weavel” Cogburn and the pair wed. While their time together
was short, their marriage produced their 3 greatest blessings: Vick, Harold and Randy. She took
great pride in being a homemaker and a mother. After the death of Thelbert, she married her
husband of 51 years, Norman “Bud” Williamson.
Jimmie was a country girl at heart, and spent her childhood in the fields with her parents,
playing in creeks, and riding horses. As an adult, Jimmie enjoyed many social events with her
sisters and long-time friends. Their many adventures included road trips, camping at the lake,
fishing, and game nights. She was a gatekeeper of family history and enjoyed sharing stories
and lineage with any family member who would listen. Her greatest joy in life was spending time
with her family, especially her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was also
an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking for her loved ones. She was a longstanding member of
the Ladies Auxiliary.
