Jimmy Carson Lambert, age 81 passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at his home in Idabel, OK. He was born on February 15, 1941 in Garvin, OK, the son of Roe and Pearl Maze Lambert. He married Pat Wheeler, his wife of 57 years in St. Charles, Illinois on January 29, 1965.
Jimmy served in the Army National Guard, received a marksmanship badge and was honorably discharged after six years of dedicated service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, walking his dog and working in his garden. Jimmy spent a lot of his time volunteering with his church in many different organizations. He lived most of his life in Idabel and was a member of the Haworth Church of Christ. Jimmy was passionate about the Bible and read his Bible daily.
Jimmy loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with a passion. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roe and Pearl Lambert and his sister, Gail Mattingly.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Pat Lambert of the home; children, Tonya Johnson of Idabel, OK and David Lambert of Ohio; sisters, Bobbie Simpson of Sand Springs, OK and Peggy Qualls and husband, Donald of Shawnee, OK; brother, Jerry Lambert and wife Bobbie of Mountain Home, AR six grandchildren, Christa Johnson, Cody Johnson, Katelyn Johnson, Breanna Lambert, Blaine Lambert, Chantae Lambert; three great-grandchildren, Lincoln Johnson, Parker Johnson and Benton Melton; and a very special niece, Beverly Qualls; special dog “Pepper Lane”; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2022 at the Haworth Church of Christ in Haworth, OK with Aubrey Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at the Denison Cemetery.
