JoAnn Crosby Hobbs

JoAnn Crosby Hobbs, age 87 passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at her home in Wright City, OK. She was born on August 27, 1934 in Wright City, OK, the daughter of Chester and Eva Felker Crosby.

JoAnn’s passion was barrel racing. She competed in the National Finals three times and won the first American Sanctioned barrel race in Manitoba, Canada. JoAnn enjoyed teaching Speech and working with children.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wright City, OK and a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. JoAnn loved and cherished her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, G.B. Hobbs and brother, Booger Crosby.

JoAnn is survived by her son, Brandon Hobbs of Wright City, OK and granddaughter, Adalin Scoles of Millerton, OK; sister-in-law, Jane Crosby of Wright City, OK; nieces, Chami and Chantay; nephew, Trey; special friend, Rita Burke; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 13, 2021 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK. Interment will follow at the Slater Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the funeral home.
