John Morrison

John Dee Morrison, age 70 passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Idabel, OK. He was born December 20, 1954 in Dimmitt, TX to Gordon and Wanda Morrison.

Johnny loved working for Tillman Co. Coop driving a spray rig heavy equipment operator and truck driver. Johnny and Kathy married in Vernon, TX on August 17th, 2007 and lived in Frederick, OK until moving to Idabel, OK in 2022. Johnny’s dad taught him to play and sing at age 5. He was in several bands where he played guitar and sang. Playing music was a life long passion. His best times was playing with his brothers. John was Pentecostal and attended Grace Assembly Church. John Loved God, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Wanda Morrison; sister, Julia Morrison; and his brother, David Morrison.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Kathy Conley of the home; son, Shannon Conley of Idabel, OK; daughter, Shanell Lawrence of Lawton, OK; son-in-law, Charles Lawrence of Lawton, OK; grandchildren, Destiny and Garrison Brown of Lawton, OK; Gabi Lawrence and Kotton Kinzer of Grandfield, OK; Jurnee Conley of Garvin, OK; great-grandchildren, Acelynn Brown of Lawton, OK, Hudson Brown of Lawton, OK, Kreed Kinzer of Grandfield, OK; sister, Patsy Watson of Cheyenne, OK; brothers and sister-in-law, Franky and Susie Morrison of Frederick, OK, Daniel Morrison; sisters-in-law, Karen Pearson and Jim of Livingston, TX, Tonya Conley and Justin of Garvin, OK; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Conley of Idabel, OK, Joe Newsome and Tammy of Haworth, OK, Ricky Hobbs of Livingston, TX; many nieces, nephews, cousins, special friend, Teresa Hankins of Tom, OK.

The family will receive friends and celebrate John’s life from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 12, 2025 at the White Family Funeral Home.
