Johnice Eidson Pollard

Johnice Eidson Pollard, age 87 passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at her home in Idabel, OK. She was born on June 9, 1933 in Hugo, OK, the daughter of Johnny and Wilma Flowers.

Johnice worked many years for the Idabel National Bank. She was an accomplished homemaker and enjoyed ironing, sewing and cooking for her family. Johnice was a longtime member of the Idabel Country Club and was an avid golfer. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and  a lifetime resident of the area. 

Johnice was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Kenneth Eidson and Thearon Pollard; a daughter, Vicky Bailey; and a daughter-in-law, Delight Eidson.

Johnice is survived by her son, Terry Joe Eidson of Idabel, OK; step-children, James and Cathy Pollard of Littleton, CO, Michael and Margaret Pollard of Forney, TX, Bill and Sheila Pollard of Arlington, TX and Linda and Keith Fitzgerald of Livermore, CA; grandchildren, Riley and Heather Eidson of Murchison, TX and Jennifer and Blu Nicholson of Athens, TX; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Nicholson, Josiah Nicholson, Blayd Eidson, Bracee Eidson, Abby VanCleave, Ayva Eidson, Emerson Eidson and Grayson Eidson; special cousins, Bob and Kathy Mixon; dear friends, Glenna Minter and Bill and Burnie Burwell; several step-grandchildren and brothers and sisters; as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the Denison Cemetery with Bro. Joe Voyles officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to St Judes, Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Research or the American Heart Association.
